ECCO expands partnership with PixelMEDIA

Success of Global Shoe Manufacturer’s U.S. eCommerce Site www.eccousa.com has Initiated Launch of ECCO Netherlands Site

Portsmouth, NH - 05/30/2006 - Success begets successand generates notice. The success of eccousa.com has caught the eye of other divisions within the Denmark-based ECCO brand. Partnering with PixelMEDIA, Inc., a full service professional services firm focused on Internet-enablement, ECCO Netherlands launched www.eccoshopping.nl in April 2006. ECCO Canada is set to launch within the year as the third country site PixelMEDIA has created in service to the worlds seventh-largest shoe brand.

What defines success in this partnership? ECCO sets a high bar for their product: innovative flexibility and technology combine to foster comfort and utility. Those qualities also describe both the ECCO website and the agency charged with delivering it. PixelMEDIA helped fellow New Hampshire-based company ECCO USA reinvent their online presence in 2003. PixelMEDIAs work with ECCO USA positioned them to effectively build ECCOs other country sites. The multi-lingual storefronts leverage the US framework while presenting innovative solutions to each countrys specific challenges. When the Netherlands and Canadian ecommerce stores presented special regulations for payment and shipping, PixelMEDIA tailored technology theyd developed for the US, customizing it for each country website. ECCO Netherlands leverages the shopping cart PixelMEDIA originally designed for ECCO USA, synching with SAP order fulfillment systems. PixelMEDIAs custom front-end content management tools allow ECCO Netherlands to fully engage with their site and manage it to reflect seasonal or country-specific merchandise while automating integration with a global backend inventory management system.
