PixelMEDIA Wins Best Government Site and Best Retail Site at NH.com Internet Awards
The New Hampshire Folklife Website and ECCO USA Recognized as New Hampshire’s Best
Portsmouth, NH - 03/16/2005 - PixelMEDIA, Inc., a full service company offering integrated strategy, design, and implementation services for Web, multimedia, and IT initiatives, today announced that it was awarded a NH.com Internet Award for the Best Government Site, State of New Hampshire Folklife website www.nh.gov/folklife, and Best Retail Site, ECCO USA www.eccousa.com.
The Seventh Annual New Hampshire Internet Awards Gala, at the Center of New Hampshire, was hosted by NH.com, the state's premier site for news, information and events, and sponsored by New Hampshire Community Technical College in Nashua, Ektron, PC Connection, WMUR Channel 9, and WZID 94.5.
Gov. John Lynch gave the Governors Address highlighting key issues affecting the technology industry and business in general. Ektron Founder and President/CEO William Rogers was the keynote speaker and shared his vision of whats ahead for the industry. Mike McDonald, comedian, was the Awards emcee.
The continuing growth and success of the Internet Awards is indicative of the strong, innovative character of New Hampshire's economy and workforce, commented NH.com's New Media manager, Kathy Schwartz. This years contest was extremely competitive, said Kathy Schwartz, NH.com new media manager. All of the sites entered were excellent and the Best of Show selection was particularly difficult for our judges. Once again, were very proud to be able to offer this awards program for the state.
Judges found the design of the New Hampshire Folklife website to be right on engaging, creative, and slightly whimsical. Great interactivity to engage lovers of folk music. The judges said of ECCO USA, "Visually appealing, easy to navigate, VERY functional and an excellent use of Flash. Well done!"

PixelMEDIA was also a second place winner for the Outer Limits Award for Andover based PAN Communications. This award recognizes websites of companies with 26 employees or more created by New Hampshire designers for companies located outside of New Hampshire. In addition, PixelMEDIA won third place for Best Corporate Website for NitroSecurity, this award recognizes websites created to market a New Hampshire corporations.
