Harvey Industries Benefits from Decreased Training Time with PixelMEDIA’s Award-winning E-Learning Modules
New Hire Ramp-up Time Reduced from Months to Weeks; Four New Interactive Modules Developed
Portsmouth - 03/01/2005 - PixelMEDIA, Inc., a full service company offering integrated strategy, design and implementation services for Web, multimedia and IT initiatives, today announced that it has successfully completed its fifth in a series of e-learning project for Harvey Industries, the leading manufacturer of insulating windows and doors and the premier wholesale distributor of quality building products in the Northeast. As a result of working with PixelMEDIA, Harvey Industries has been able to provide employees with an engaging and highly modular interactive training experience, which has resulted in shorter ramp up times and increased productivity.
The recent launch of the fourth module has provided Harvey Industries with another innovative e-learning tool that effectively provides product training of its core product lines to its rapidly expanding employee base. Having worked with PixelMEDIA in the past, Harvey Industries chose to engage with the firm for these initiatives, based on PixelMEDIAs expertise in the design and development of custom e-learning applications and training modules.
Being able to develop an effective e-learning tool for our front-line inside sales team was an extremely important initiative for Harvey Industries, making it critical for us to partner with a vendor that could create an interactive application that was appealing and demonstrated true ROI to our Sr. Management Group said Marian Stuart, training manager for Harvey Industries. We chose PixelMEDIA to spearhead this project and counted on them to exceed our expectations. The first training module had an extraordinary impact on our business. In fact, we are so pleased with the end result; we have completed three additional modules in 2004.
The primary objective for Harvey Industries was to create an interactive e-learning solution that ensured participants were fully prepared to interact with contractors in selecting, installing, and troubleshooting product questions. In order to ensure the success of the initiative, the PixelMEDIA team worked with branch managers and senior staff to create a compelling training program designed to effectively train new hires while keeping veterans current.
Over the course of the project, PixelMEDIA worked with Harvey Industries on all of the curriculum creation, which included: script, content, and quiz development, custom illustrations and animations, complex FlashMX-enablement, custom reporting, SQL Server integration, and packaging. Based on the success of the previous four training modules, PixelMEDIA is in the process of constructing a non-product related training session for inside sales representatives focusing on order entry, customer interaction techniques, and even how to tell if a customer is a homeowner or contractor. The new training module is slated to be launched Fall 2005.
