Description:
As a member of PixelMEDIA's Experience Design team, the Content Strategist plays a pivotal role in creating relevant and engaging experiences that deepen our clients’ relationships with their customers.
The Content Strategist is responsible for analyzing, creating, and managing written content for a wide range of deliverables, including websites, user interfaces, applications, and supporting collateral. The role spans the lifecycle of a project, from initial consultation and strategy to final proofing and quality assurance, and comprises multiple responsibilities:
Content analysis and strategy. Determine what content best meets the business objectives of the website or application; user needs, goals, and expectations; and the client’s brand position. Define and demonstrate the most effective approach to developing content to meet the stated requirements. Conduct content gap analysis to assess outstanding content needs.
Leadership/management of content procurement and production. Revise content workflow: development, review, and approval by internal and client resources. Develop and customize content tools and reference materials as needed, including brand message architecture; content style guide; seed content; and client-friendly content input tools.
Editorial guidance and management. Hands-on selection, review, and revision of content according to content strategy requirements, business objectives, and user needs. Application of best practices in shaping content for online delivery: websites, user interfaces, and applications.
Copywriting, copy editing, and proofreading. Produce and refine new content or client supplied content to adhere to accepted language standards as well as to client-supplied and project-based style guidelines. Ensure that all copy is correct prior to final delivery of project.
The ideal candidate will be self-directed, comfortable, and confident working in a fast-paced, multidiscipline, collaborative environment. Superior written and verbal communication skills are essential, as well as a record of success working directly with clients.
Exerience/ Skills Required:
- 5-7 years experience in an interactive design agency; marketing agency; and/or PR agency
- Solid knowledge of market research/user-centered research practices
- Strong foundation in user-centered design and visual design principles
- Understanding of SEO/keyword strategies
- Experience with social media and user-generated content: forums, communities, blogs
- Ability to articulate brand principles and practices
- Working knowledge of content management systems (CMS)
- Fluency in Microsoft Windows-based desktop applications: Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Education:
Bachelors Degree Required
