Data protection leader increases unique visitors and page views over 300%

Business Challenge
FilesX provides next-generation data protection and recovery solutions for remote and branch offices. With broken links, ineffective registration forms, and slow download rates, the company website wasn’t generating any leads. On top of that, poor coding didn’t meet the needs of search engines and hampered the nascent pay-per-click program.

FilesX approached PixelMEDIA for a much needed upgrade: they needed a search engine-friendly site to attract qualified leads both organically and through a paid campaign.

Remodeling started from the ground up. PixelMEDIA began by completely revamping the website code. New, search engine optimized white papers replaced the older versions as the recoded registration forms started to capture data they’d been missing. The team introduced aesthetic improvements including a complete homepage redesign that—more than ever—highlighted the purpose of the company. The headaches caused by slow download rates were a thing of the past.

After extensive keyword research, PixelMEDIA activated the pay-per-click (PPC) campaign. These keywords formed themed ad groups such as “business continuity,” “data protection,” and “disaster recovery.” With these keywords, PixelMEDIA also wrote new, keyword-dense page titles and meta tags. The team also changed keywords into links within the content to provide better intra-site linking.

Over time, PixelMEDIA added PPC campaigns in high-activity areas, such as Israel. Placement-targeted campaigns showcased FilesX ads on sites that related most to the company. The FilesX website, which was once a hindrance, became a lead generating machine.
